Objectives
The Karnataka State Retired Police Officers Welfare Association came into being after an idea was conceived by a few retired police officers and it has now taken a progressive path. Among others, the main objectives of the Association are follows;
- To protect the interest of the Association and to expand its areas of operation and other activities.
- Organizing programmes to enable retired police officers to lead a dignified and respectful post retirement life.
- To organize and to unite the retired police officers under one umbrella.
- To enhance mutual help, co-operation, friendliness among the members of the Association.
- To establish libraries, organizing cultural activities, sports, health seminars etc., for the benefits of its members.
- To celebrate National festivals such as Independence Day, Republic Day etc..,
- To plan and execute welfare schemes to help lower subordinate retired police personnel.
- To extend co-operation to the police department as and when need arises and to be in readiness to render assistance on receipt of the call.
- To establish and have cordial relationship with other associations, organizations and institutions within the state of Karnataka and elsewhere as well.
- To augment financial resources in the form of contributions, donations, publications and by organizing cultural activities.
- To acquire movable and immovable properties through purchase, by lease and through agreements as and when the need arise.
- To encourage starting of branches of retired police welfare associations across the state of Karnataka and outside as well and also render financial assistance to such institutions if required.
- Encouraging the members of the Association to indulge in activities aimed at welfare of veterans of the nation.
- To form house building societies to enable eligible members to own residential sites (plots).
- To start a periodical that may be containing details of the facilities extended by the Association, information relating to latest notifications by Government of Karnataka governing pension rules and other schemes concerning to pensioners in the state.
